“Magnezit Group” carried out an international conference on the prospects of refractory production and utilization. On October 27 the first international conference on the prospects of refractory production and industrial utilization took place in Satka (Cheliabinsk Region). Representatives of the leading metallurgical and cement companies of Russia, Ukraine and Kazakhstan participated in this conference. "Magnezit Group" performed as a promoter of the conference. Spokespersons at the conference touched the main factors, which influence the development of companies - manufacturers of refractory materials, affect the fluctuations of the market and consumers' demands. Specialists of "Magnezit Group" told about the modern technologies of utilization of the latest types of refractory materials in the industries of ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy and cement production, and presented the plans of production and development of the Group.
Representatives of the consuming companies shared their experience in refractory utilization, and expressed their expectations in regard to the assortment of these products. At the conference the joint discussion of problems, connected with the correspondence of the quality and nomenclature of refractory materials with the contemporary and future demands of metallurgical companies was carried out.
This conference meant the renewal of the traditional dialog between "Magnezit Group" and consumers of the refractory materials. The promoters of this conference believe that such meetings will become regular and will conduce to the development of both the companies of "Magnezit Group" and consumers of their products.
Sergei Odegov, the General Director of "Magnezit Group" addressed the participants of the conference: "Such dialog is really necessary for successful and timely respond towards the challenges of the modern market. Manufacturers and consumers of refractory materials require the constant coordination of plans in order to undertake joint steps with minimum costs and to optimize the resolving of their own goals. I believe that this conference constitutes the first step towards this target", - he said.
