Magnezit Group takes part in the International Conference of Refractories Manufactureres and Metallurgists
Magnezit Group took part in the annual International Conference of Refractories Manufactureres and Metallurgists, which was held on April 3-4 in Moscow in the Russian Academy of State Service of the President of Russian Federation. The program of the Conference was devoted to the problems of modern shaped and unshaped refractories, to innovative technologies, raw materials and equipment, to service of refractories in metallurgical units. Magnezit Group acted as the organizer of the Conference.
The delegation of Magnezit Group in the Conference was headed by the Technical Director of the company — Mr. Lev Axelrod. Specialists of the company shared with the conference participants the accumulated experience in the field of development of novel production technologies and servicing of refractory linings as well as of work with customers. Mr.Axelrod gave in his report the analysis of development of world refractory industry, main trends of development in the sphere of production and application of carbon and unshaped refractories, as well as of success in novel technological developments of Magnezit Group and their application for lining of high-temperature units. Alexander Laptev — Director of the Scientific-and-Production Company «Маgnezit», which makes part of the Group, attracted in his report attention of the participants to the expansion of production and singularities of application of refractory products by pre-cast technology of basic and alumina-silica composition. Mikhail Chashkin — the leading specialists of Magnezit Group engineering department reported on peculiarities and problems of operation of the lining of steel-teeming ladles.
Metallurgists and refractories manufacturers of the biggest companies from Russia, CIS and foreign countries took part in the Conference, including «ЕvrazHolding», JSC «Меchel», JSC «Magnitogorski Metallurgical Works», «TMK», JSC «NLMK» and others.
