Magnezit Group completed a large-scale investment project amounting to more than 3 billion rubles
Commissioning of the first on the territory of CIS

It marked completion of alarge-scale investment project of the Group for establishment of the Complex for production of periclase clinkers — a new plant, construction of which can be without any exaggeration called a new stage in development of refractory industry in Russia.The
multi-hearth furnace with the annual production capacity of 100 thousand tons was developed specially for Magnezit Group by the German concern Polysius AG. The furnace has no analogues not only on the territory of Russia and CIS, but even on the world scale such kind of equipment is represented as single instances at the most technologically advanced plants.Innovation equipment corresponds to the most
up-to-date international standards, including those of energy efficiency and environmental safety. Use of own raw materials, mined at the Magnezit Group deposit in Krasnoyarsk Area, allows to obtain the highest quality of products.The furnace consists of 19 hearths. Powerful and at the same time the most efficient gas burners are installed on each hearth. They provide for the maximally precise adjustment of firing temperature of raw material, which moves during calcinations process from the top to the bottom.
Multi-hearth furnace is an alternative to rotary kilns, which operate in refractory industry. One can mention among its main advantages: production of calcined magnesia with sustained quality; reduction of dust emission by 99% in comparison with rotary kilns; return for burning of all the trapped caustic dust; double reduction of specific fuel consumption per ton of available calcined magnesia in comparison with burning in rotary kilns; cutting by 50% of raw material loss due to poor burning; decrease of maintenance charges and repair costs nearly by 3 times.Complex for production of periclase clinker is an innovative production facility. Its construction was initiated in 2008 with commissioning of a
high-temperature shaft kiln Maerz with the annual production capacity of 50 thousand tons. Technologies of fine grinding and briquetting of magnesia powders as well as burning were united into the integrated cycle, which allows to obtain material with high set values.High-temperature shaft kiln Polysius AG with the annual production capacity of 80 thousand tons was commissioned in July 2013. The unit has no analogues not only on the territory of CIS, but in the world as well.
