President of Magnezit Group is awarded with a distinction decoration «For services rendered to Chelyabinsk region»
President of «Magnezit» Group Sergei Korostelyov was awarded with an distinction decoration «For Services Rendered to Chelyabinsk Region». Corresponding decree was signed last week by the governor of Chelyabinsk region Pyotr Sumin.
As it is said in the decree of the governor this high award was given to Mr. Korostelyov S.P and to another four citizens of South Urals for outstanding contribution into social and economic development of Chelyabisnk region. Work of Mr. Korostelyov in creation of partner relations of «Magnezit» Group with municipal and state authorities in the field of implementation of social programs was especially pointed out.
Large-scale reconstruction works of public health, sport, culture and education facilities were done in Satka municipal district since 1999 on the initiative of Mr. Korostelyov and under his guidance: covered tennis court and a sport complex with artificial grass surface were constructed; children?s adventure playgrounds were installed; Church of Exaltation of the Cross in the town of Bakal was built; funds were allocated for revival of the Saint-Nicolas Church in Satka, Ascension of Our Lady Church in the village of Ailino of Satka district and for construction of Chelyabinsk eparchial administration of Russian Orthodox Church. In 2007 a strategic plan of development of Satka municipal district for the period up to 2020 was elaborated and approved on the initiative of Mr. Korostelyov. Chess projects are implemented with support of the President of «Magnezit» Group. They are aimed at intellectual development of children and teen-agers. Chess tournaments of international, Russian-scale and interregional levels are held.
A complex social program «Close-Knit Family» is implemented on the initiative and under guidance of Mr. Korostelyov in Chelyabisnk region and in 9 more regions of Russia. This program became in 2006 a project of the party «United Russia». Distinction decoration «For the Services rendered to Chelyabisnk Region» was instituted in 2004 in honour of 70-th anniversary of the region. It has been awarded to nearly 100 citizens of Chelyabisnk region. Among them there are Olympic champion Svetlana Ishmuratova, general director of automobile works «Ural» Viktor Korman, general director of the JSC «Ashinski Metallurgical Works» Vladimir Yevstratov, world chess ex- champion Anatoli Karpov who was born in the town of Zlatoust, general constructor of the State Rocket Center of the name of V.P. Makeyev — Vladimir Degtyar and others.
