Magnezit Group acquires Panteleymonovka Refractory Plant

Magnezit Group has acquired Panteleymonovka Refractory Plant (settlement Panteleymonovka, town Gorlovka), one of the biggest enterprises in Ukraine for production of magnesia refractories.

Panteleymonovka Refractory Plant produces shaped and unshaped refractory products. The plant has up-to-date pressing and mixing equipment. Integrated system of management, which meets the International standards ISO9001-2008, ISO14001-2004 and OHSAS 18001-2007 is introduced at the enterprise.

Cooperation with Magnezit Group will give a new impetus to the development of the plant; will make it possible to diversify the range of products and to gradually transfer to manufacture of products with higher degree of treatment. By the year 2016 at this enterprise Magnezit Group is planning to increase manifold volumes of production of magnesia carbon refractories up to 25 thousand tons annually, to organize production of fluxes with the capacities of up to 100 thousand tons per year. Production of burned bricks and forsterite will be continued, but rise of volumes is not planned.

As a result, production capacities of the plant will surpass 150 thousand tons per year even in the medium-term perspective. It will become possible also thanks to deliveries of «Russian magnesite» — refractory materials of high quality: fused magnesia and sintered clinker, produced by enterprises of Magnezit Group on the basis of high-quality magnesite deposits in Russia. For implementation of these plans production facilities of the enterprise will be modernized. Modernization will enable it to reach a qualitatively new level of development.

«Development strategy of Magnezit Group is aimed at innovative growth of the company in order to satisfy growing customer requirements with novel high-quality products», points out General Director of Magnezit Group Sergey Odegov. — «The company possesses very high scientific and technical potential, high-quality resources base, novel technological base, which nowadays permit us to successfully compete on the international market and to offer to our partners the most effective solutions for complete lining and servicing of thermal devices».

Among the most important advantages of this project Sergey Odegov also underlines a location of Panteleymonovka Refractory Plant in the immediate vicinity from the biggest customers — metallurgical enterprises on the territory of Ukraine and southern part of Russia. «By joining our forces we will create a new modern refractory cluster on the territory of Ukraine. It will make possible to provide our partners with high-quality products and will create additional advantages for the social and economic development of the region», underlines Mr. Odegov.
