Magnezit Group will take part in a scientific forum

Magnezit Group will present its scientific and technological developments during the International Conference of Refractories and Metallurgists, which will take place in the National Research Technological University «MISIS» in Moscow on May, 18-19.

This year the event will be held for the anniversary 20th time. Magnezit Group is the main partner and permanent participant of this most important scientific industrial forum.

Leading Russian and international enterprises, representatives of academic society will take part in the discussion of problems and prospects of development of metallurgy, refractory industry and related sectors of the industry. Key topics of the reports are refractories and ceramics, high-temperature processes in metallurgy, refractory materials and lining of metallurgical thermal units, technologies of quality improvement of raw materials, refractories production and effective use, raw materials for refractory production etc.

Representatives of Magnezit Group are to present researches on the effect of calcium aluminates additives on the characteristics of periclase-carbon refractories for steel-teeming ladles, on modification of basic refractory structure by zirconium dioxide nanoparticles, on modeling of magnesite firing in multihearth furnaces and on results of numerical study of refractory lining failure by thermal shock. The Group’s specialists will also participate in the forum as listeners and will visit an exhibition of instruments, equipment, technological developments and thematic literature, which will be organized within the framework of the conference.
