Magnezit Group introduced a new quality of refractory products in the world’s largest metallurgical forum «Bright World of Metals»
Magnezit Group presented its achievements in the field of production and application of magnesia refractories within the world’s largest metallurgical forum «Bright World of Metals», which was held in June, 16–20 in Dusseldorf, Germany. The forum brought together four most significant international specialized exhibitions: METEC, GIFA, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST.
This year about 78,000 specialists and experts from more than 120 countries visited the forum and once again it became the main event in global metals industry life.

Avant-garde your plans!» was the slogan of Magnezit Group’s communication campaign, as the company associates its advanced approach to the refractories production with anavant-garde movement in the art. While Magnezit delegates discussed with visitors a brand new product line «Russian Magnezit TM», which includeshigh-quality dead-burned and fused magnesia with MgO content 97% and above, an interactivemulti-touch painting of famous and quite provocative Russian contemporary artist Konstantin Khudyakov, presented at its booth, attracted no less attention.«This is the traditional meeting place of the leading metals companies, it is also the main platform for new solutions showcasing», — says CEO of Magnezit Group Sergei Odegov. «For Magnezit Group participation in the event of such scale is a great opportunity to confirm its status as one of the leaders of the world refractory industry and to have a better knowledge about new demands of our main consumers — metallurgical companies. The delegation of the Group held a number of important meetings with international partners and clients, including ThyssenKrupp AG, EKW GmbH, INTOCAST, OJSC «Magnitogorsk Iron & Steel Works» and others.
The Head of Laboratory of Materials Science of Magnezit Group Igor Maryasev was a speaker of ESTAD conference, the accompanying conference of METEC trade fair. He presented a report about new methodology for assessing the quality of fused magnesia and about the influence of the coefficient of basicity to the resistance of refractory products.
