Public garden. Renovation».

All projects of public garden renovation in the one of small cities of the Chelyabinsk region are highly appreciated by professional community. Experts also welcomed interesting elements in each project, because such non-standard architectural forms attract people’s attention and become the unique symbol promoting formation of image of the city and all Chelyabinsk region. The presented works will create prospect for the further development of public garden as a center of social life, comfortable space for townsmen and visitors.

It is pleasant that citizens of Satka together with experts actively took part in voting for the best project of public garden. And it is very pleasant that results of voting of Satka inhabitants and professionals in Moscow have practically coincided. I am sure that summarizing of competition will give a new impulse to project development".

About the project:

The public garden is located on a slope in the central part of the city and adjoins its main square which dominant structure is a recreation center «Magnezit». There are all basic social and cultural facilities quite near the public garden.

The veteran of «Magnezit» R.G. Malikova explains her choice in favor of the German project: «It seems to me not such difficult as others, but its simplicity is unique. One can have a cozy rest in greens shade, there are playgrounds for children, where it will be possible to skate or shape the snow into figures in the winter. Thus there is not „noisy zone“, which exists practically in all projects; therefore it will be comfortable for inhabitants of the houses next door».

In April a seminar was hold in Satka, during which the competitioners met with the administrative authorities and the townspeople and presented their vision of the urban beautification. Heads of Satka administration, deputies, representatives of veteran and youth associations, public organizations are participated in this meeting. Architects presented to the public theirs approaches to public spaces beautification. Inhabitants of Satka actively joined in discussion of public spaces renovation and shared their opinion about future of the public garden in Satka. Citizens suggested to install there park of attractions for children, a dance pavilion, quiet places for rest, playgrounds, cafe. In late May the park renovation projects were on display at the International Architecture and Design Exhibition «ArchMoscow» at the Central House of Artists in Moscow.
