Magnezit Group is planning to begin production of biceramic nozzles on the basis of zirconium dioxide in November — December 2007.
Production facility in town Satka, Chelyabisnk region will include all production stages: nozzle — concrete block, nozzle — metal shell (for devices for quick change of nozzles) including final adjusting.
Projected capacity — up to 150 — 170 thousand pieces per year.
Tests of trial nozzles on a continuous casting machine of one of steel — making plants showed stable service life of up to 19 heats. Wear of the nozzle channel was on the same level as wear of German-made nozzles which until present were used on a permanent basis.
Implementation of this project is done in the framework of the new scientific- production sub-division of Magnezit Group — NPK «Magnezit».
