Satka talented children reached final of the national selection competition «EUROVISION 2008»

Soloists of the children’s variety studio «Baby – Hit» of the Palace of Culture «Magnezit» 11-year old residents of Satka (Chelyabinsk region) Liza and Dasha LEMESHEV reached the final of the National selection competition of children songs performers «Eurovision -2008» which was organized by the All-Russia State TV Company and TV channel «Russia». On the 27-th of May they took part in the semi final of the competition which identified the best twenty finalists – the best performers of Russia.

On  June 1. at 21.35 (Moscow time) the final elimination concert will be live broadcasted on the TV channel «Russia». The winner will represent Russia in November 2008 in Cyprus at the International competition of children’s songs performers “Eurovision-2008. Spectators will choose the winner by SMS-voting.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                              

«According to drawing – tutor of the young contestants Marina Kalinina said – Liza and Dasha Lemeshev will perform under number 17. The girls believe in victory and hope very much for support of fellow-townsmen.                                                                                                                     

 

            Palace of Culture «Magnezit»

Magnezit Group is a socially conscious company and supports a number of socio-cultural facilities. Among them: Palace of Culture «Magnezit» located in the town of Satka Chelyabinsk region. The Palace was built in 1951 and for its project the architect Teodor Erwald was awarded the title of laureate of Stalin prize. The Palace itself was proclaimed the best architectural structure of the USSR in 1951.   

Nowadays 4000 people take part in 10 amateur teams of the Palace. Two collectives of Tatar – Bashkir art «Yagor» and dramatic art studio «We» have the title «national». Three more teams: children’s variety studio «Baby-Hit», circus studio «Bravo», dance collective «Tanz-Form» have the title «exemplary». All three won many times in All-Russia and international competitions

            Corporative cultural events for employees and veterans of the company, for residents of the town Satka are held with the professional support of the instructors of the creative teams of the Palace of Culture «Magnezit».

            Shareholders of Magnezit Group adopted decision to carry out capital repairs of the Palace building. It was begun early this year and will have been completed by the 250-th anniversary of Satka (September 2008). Territory around the Palace will also be reconstructed. It is the biggest social project from this year investment program. Its cost is evaluated at 55 million rubles.
