Magnezit Group commissioned the first in Russia Complex for production of densely sintered clinkers

On September 5 festive ceremony of opening of the first in Russia complex for production of densely sintered periclase clinkers will be held in Satka, Chelyabinsk region. It is the biggest investment project of Magnezit Group during last five years. Its cost amounts nearly to 1 billion rubles.

Production capacity of the plant  amounts to 50 thousand tons of products per year.

The complex includes: milling division with the ball mill Hosocawa Alpina; briquetting division with briquetting presses Hosocawa Bepex; high  temperature shaft furnace  of Austrian company RCE\Maerz. The furnace is the last link in the technological line for production of densely sintered periclase clinker – high quality powder for  production of refractory bricks for lining of thermal vessels at the plants of ferrous, non- ferrous and cement industry.     

Bricks produced from such a clinker possess improved service characteristics: low open porosity, high density, light linear change during heating and operation, stability of properties which in its turn considerably increase service life of thermal vessel lining.

Putting of the complex in operation will make it possible to make considerable savings of high quality raw materials as clinker technology enables to increase efficiency of high quality raw materials consumption by 2 times and to bring the rate of its utilization up to 100 per cent in contrast to traditional technologies which were based upon burning of raw materials in rotary kilns and outdated shaft furnaces.

Gas consumption per 1 ton of ready made product of the new furnace is 3 times less than of the rotary kilns while burning the same quality of raw materials.

The complex corresponds to the European standards of ecological safety. Bag filters of the Austrian company Scheuch Gmbh enable to decrease dust emissions nearly by 10 times in comparison with the existing gas trapping facilities.

Control system of the main technological processes was made  by Yekaterinburg company RTSoft. It is automated to the maximum. It excludes influence of the so called human factor and makes it possible to find reasons for deviations in the work of technological equipment.

Up to now periclase clinkers of such quality were produced only abroad. Enterprises of Israel, China, Austria, Germany, United States work with such technology. It is the first complex of such kind in Russia which gave to Magnezit Group considerable competitive advantages.
